An interesting Google search
I occasionally search for myself on Google to see the results. I'm happy to say that most of the top hits are me - natch!

Additionally, several of the photos in the "images" section of Google are either me or my house. :)
However, today I decided to also search for Jon Huff - not me!?!? I'll have to work on that:

I did join the Xanga blogring for Jon Huff. Heh. One sort of funny/disturbing image that showed up is from Rootsweb.com. It's a death certificate for John Huff dated July 27, 1927:

It's not too clear, but doesn't the cause of death read "Died from drinking rubbing alcohol"???? Lord, I hope I go from something other than that - something like gin or whiskey. :)

interesting. looking at the death certificate it seems like the word Rubbing is mashed in there and runs into the word Alcohol. Mr. Huff died in Harlan County which is known for its illegal moonshine and coal mines. Perhaps the Rubbing was added after the fact to make it look like he wasn't drinking illegal moonshine. Also, one of the other articles mentions the guy who quit smoking. It says something about how he handles balls to relieve stress. fun :)

Did you know there is now a "Jon Huff is my boyfriend" blogring on Xanga. I joined the one you joined because you joined it. I did not joing the "Jon Huff is My Boyfriend" ring, however, even though I thought it would be funny. :-)

Funny!
My Google hits return crazy stuff from the past decade of my life: Old press releases, freelance stories, mentions of me on other profiles ... insane.
Google also informs me that I have a doppleganger who's an Army tech sergeant serving in Afghanistan. It's actually been interesting following his exploits, since we're about the same age!

It is nice, my real name is: Johan van de Hoef (I am from the Netherlands) but somehow I got the nickname John Huff. That name I use often as a sign in name on the internet. I also occasionally searched for this name on Google to see what results would come, so I came on your blog site.
